Zečja beach on Hvar is one of those beaches that we know of or discover by accident, driving along winding island roads or by boat along its gentle indented coast. Zečja beach is on the north side of the island and you can reach it in about 15 minutes car drive if you have rented an apartment, room or holiday house in Jelsa on Hvar. It is a secluded cove with pebbles that slopes gently into the sea, bordered by thick vegetation and gentle rocks. The beach offers the enjoyment in the wilderness of the Mediterranean with no additional amenities except the clear sea, the warmth of summer days, the peace sung in the song of crickets. Although the beach is not large, you do not have to fear that you will be out of place - it is rarely crowded here even in the heart of summer so you can enjoy either the warm pebbles under your back or the tame rocks that surround the beach. Bring some refreshments and sun protection for a full day of enjoyment at the beach.
