On the north-western coast of the island of Krk, there is a small village called Porat, whose coast overlooks the Istrian peninsula and the height of the fascinating Ucka mountain in the distance. The island of Krk is one of our most accessible islands, with the bridge connecting it with the mainland, and there is also an airport in Krk that connects the island with some European cities and the rest of Croatia. There is only 20 kilometres distance from the Krk bridge and the airport to your comfortable apartments, rooms or vacation houses in Porat. There are just 20 steps from your accommodation to the nearest beach, because the entire Porat boasts with stunning seafront locations. Uhlic beach is the most famous beach, and there are rocky parts alternating with coves with pebbles, a place to stay with children and a place for their careless game in warm sea shallows. There is a parking lot with 30 parking spaces not far from the beach for all those who come to the beach with different equipment. Still, there is little that you will miss here, Uhlic has deck chairs and parasols for hire, showers and restaurants, you will even find a Wi-Fi access point here. Uhlic is a family beach, but in spite of its sandy areas, the bottom is rocky, so bring the sea slippers for your child. Visit Porat in spring or autumn to avoid the summer crowd, when the sea is still warm enough for swimming and the sun throws long shadows on the released beautiful coast of the island of Krk.
