Telascica Nature Park is located in the south-eastern part of Dugi otok (Long Island), a beautiful island in the Zadar archipelago. You can reach it for less than a hour by fast boat (catamaran) which sails to Sali, or by a ferry in a little more than an hour and a half drive to Brinje. No matter where you sail to Dugi otok, all roads lead to Telascica, that wonderful place on the globe that enchants and delights all the guests and passers-by. Telascica has three phenomena - Telascica is the most protected and safest natural harbour on the Adriatic, fascinating are the "stene" (rocks) that rise up to 200 meters above the sea level overlooking out to the open sea, and there is a salt lake that has a healing properties named "Mir" (Peace) which does not come by the accident. The Nature Park covers a larger area and extends over more than 70 km square referring to 13 nearby islets and cliffs. It is not just the unimaginable beauty of this area which is the reason for the special protection enjoyed from the 1980s. There are over 400 plant species on the land of the Park, and a little less in the sea - 250. The underwater is also significant for a large number of animal species, including the endangered species - red corals and meet-eating sponges. If you spend your time on the shores of Mir lake, you might easily encounter an island donkey which are living freely in this area. Freedom in investigating magic of the Park is for all visitors, but if there is any reason you do not feel comfortable in the individual exploration, you can take advantage of some of the offerings for visitors: organized nature tours, biking, diving, cruising, water sports or photo safaris. You can also enjoy the culinary delicacies of local chefs in the catering facilities within the Park. If you have rented accommodation in Sali, you will find yourself in the nearest settlement to Telascica, but you will not make a mistake if you rent an apartment, a room or a rental house on Dugi otok in any other place because the whole island is like a fairytale with lots of sites to enjoy in the charms of untouched natural beauty, created for a long vacation and a long memory.
