Sveti Marak beach on Krk

Sveti Marak beach on Krk is one of the few sandy beaches on the shores of our most popular island. Fortunately for all of us who do not like the summer crowds, this beach is not located on frequent traffic roads nor is it close to a larger settlement. It is situated 25 kilometers away from the Krk Bridge, and you will reach it fast if you have rented an apartment, room or holiday house in Vrbnik on Krk and hit a few kilometers to the north. The beach does not have the usual infrastructure, but it has something which is harder to find nowadays, it offers peace and quiet on sunny days and a warm belt of golden sand where everyone will find their place to enjoy. The road leading from the hamlet of Risika leads to the beach which is located in a bay on the peninsula with the church of the same name. There are several restaurants along the beach and the dense vegetation that surrounds it which does not offer much shade but is perfect for a magical Mediterranean postcard. The bay faces south-east and it is sheltered by a long pier, perfect for attractive jumps among the clear blue waves of the Adriatic.
