Samoborska kremšnita is a famous cream cake, a symbol of Samobor. If you have rented accommodation in Samobor, you will find kremšnita in every pastry shop in the city center, made according to the traditional recipe. This creamy delicacy consists of two layers of puff pastry separated by a delicious cream cooked with egg yolks, sugar, milk, flour, and beaten egg whites. The original recipe was created in the 1920s by the pastry chef Đuro Lukačić. Samoborska kremšnita is served warm, and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Enjoy!
