Prožurska Luka is a settlement on the island of Mljet, also known by the locals as Prožurski Porat. If you rent accommodation in Prožura, you might find yourself staying here or a kilometer uphill, where the first residents of Prožura descended to the sea. Prožura was established at the same time as other villages in the island interior, with the population gradually moving towards the sea for fishing and sailing. Settlements in the interior were relatively safe from attacks from the sea, while these coastal ports existed solely for economic purposes. Prožurska Luka is a permanently inhabited settlement with 48 residents living in about 30 houses today. It features a restaurant, a promenade along the sea (lungo mare), and moorings for boats. Here, you can enjoy the peace and the enchanting sea that caresses the shores of Mljet.
