Lužnica Castle near Zaprešić is a Baroque building located in Lužnica, a suburban settlement of Zaprešić. The castle is part of the system of Baroque castles abundant in Zagorje and is protected as a monument of the first category. It was built in the second half of the 18th century and is an example of a multi-winged open castle. It was constructed on the site of a former castle that belonged to the Čikulini noble family in the 16th century. In the 18th century, the castle was acquired by the Rauch noble family, who transformed it into a Baroque castle. Lužnica Castle near Zaprešić has a single-story layout with two corner towers. The façade is adorned with numerous stuccoes and reliefs. Today, the castle houses the spiritual and educational center Marijin dvor, which is run by the Sisters of Mercy.
