LegendFest Pican
Accommodation in Pićan and its surroundings consists of about 40 comfortable apartments, rooms or houses. Every year at the beginning of August, Pican becomes a magical place with fairies and elves, dragons, giants, mythical creatures from the Istrian legends and fairy tales around the town. In the few warm days of August, this magical Istrian town melts the boundaries between reality and fantasy and everything becomes possible. LegendFest Pićan is the Festival of legends, myths, and stories of Istria, which was launched in 2005 in order to preserve the culture and heritage of Istria. Thus, storytelling thread of fairy tales, myths and legends can never get interrupted. The festival has grown from year to year. In 2013 applies Award for creativity and innovation in the promotion of cultural values, and in 2015 became a part of European festival platform `Europe for festivals, festivals for Europe'. Creating a magical world of fairy tales resulted in CENK, Center for intangible culture, which is located in the Baron's Palace in Pican.

One of those places where there are no boundaries between past and present, where clocks stop knocking and where you lose your foothold in disbelief and admiration. Over 600 artists from all over the world and different areas of activity were hosted here since the festival.
