Jastrebarsko Champagne & Strawberry Festival

Jastrebarsko Champagne & Strawberry Festival has been held since 2019. This young festival is crowned with the award for creativity and innovation of the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies, so do not overthink the idea, just come to Jaska if you have rented an apartment, room or holiday house in Zagreb and the surrounding area at the end of May. The festival is organized by the local Tourist Board, encouraged by the tradition of Jaska winemakers in the production of quality sparkling wines whose aromas blend perfectly with the taste of strawberries for which the region is also known. Most of Jaskas vineyards descend from Plešivica, a mountain 779 meters high 7 kilometers from Jastrebarsko, whose steep slopes provide the perfect soil for growing wine varieties, but also offer numerous hiking trails for lovers of natural beauty. You will be able to combine two passions at this festival - enjoying fine food and drinks while enjoying the greenery of the spring in Central Croatia. Champagne tasting takes place in the participating wineries, and you can combine the tastings on foot or by a pleasant ride on the local wine roads.
