Grdni Do beach on Pelješac probably bears the ugliest name that the inhabitants of nearby places could think of. "Grdni" means "ugly" in the local dialect, so we could conclude from the name of the beach that it is an ugly cove. However, the local culture loves to play with opposites and irony, so it's easily possible that they named this beautiful bay with gravel and sand, bounded by rocks of unusual shape, with an ugly name to further emphasize its beauty. Grdni Do Beach is located a kilometer away from the village, so you can walk till here if you have rented an apartment, room or holiday house in Žuljana on Pelješac. You can park your car on the side of the road if you want, and the ride is convenient because of the things you might need on the beach as there are no amenities here. The beach is not marked with an FKK tag but is still loved by naturists. The primeval beauty of the Mediterranean trapped in the sand that sinks into the clear sea is the best recommendation for enjoying the magic of the "ugly beach".
