Žuljana is a small village situated on the south of the peninsula Pelješac in the amazing cove with the same name as village. It is connected by ferry with the harbor Ploče, and by road with the small city Ston. It has population of around 200 inhabitants, who are occupied with farming, fishing, shellfish farming, tourism and especially viniculture and wine producing because Pelješac is well known for its quality wines. Many forms of accommodation are private apartments, rooms and villas. You can enjoy sun and sea on one of the biggest pebble beaches on Adriatic Sea, or you can have a nice meal in numerous restaurants and traditional taverns, which are serving shellfish specialties - mussels and oysters. Position of Žuljana is great for water sports, so you can enjoy sailing and surfing. If you like sightseeing, you can visit Baroque church of St. Martina and church of St. Julijana. There is also small chapel of St. Nikola, which shows rich history of Žuljana, since it was built in 1630. For conclusion, Žuljana is perfect place for quiet vacation on beautiful beach with many tourist facilities like restaurants, cultural monuments and water sports.
