The house and private collection of Nikola Adzija, politician, the mayor and cultural worker in the Drnis municipality in the first half of the 20th century, is the foundation of the City Museum in Drnis. The museum was founded in 1970 in Adzija home, but the most important exhibits were works of Ivan Mestrovic. 50 exhibits evidence of the work and life of this most famous Croatian sculptor who was born in Otavice, near Drnis. Today, the Museum has also archaeological, historical, ethnographic, art collection and a collection of photographs and old postcards. The exhibits mainly come from nearby archaeological sites and from use in the Drniš area and belong to the periods from prehistory to the 20th century. Worth visiting if you have found accommodation in Drniš. Drniš City Museum works throughout the year from Monday to Friday from 9 to 13 hours.
