Bribir Tower

Bribir Tower, also known as the Turan Tower, is the only remaining part of the former Frankopan castle from the early 14th century. If you have rented affordable accommodation in Bribir, you will notice the stone tower dominating the center of the settlement. The tower is quadrangular in shape, with dimensions of 11 x 12 meters. It is 25 meters high, with a lookout from which a view from the top stretches. The tower was built of stone and has gun ports on the facades. In the 19th century, the castle was demolished, and the municipal and school buildings were built on its site. The Bribir tower has been renovated and is now open to the public with a permanent exhibition that shows the history of medieval Bribir and the famous Frankopans.
