Brdovec Museum

It was in Marija Gorica where the teeth of the proboscidean, an animal belonging to the mastodon family, were discovered, marking the first such finding in Croatia in the early 20th century. Thus Marija Gorica muncipality has an elefant carachter on its amblem. We owe this discovery to the renowned paleontologist Dragutin Kramberger.
