Dubrovnik Fashion Week

Dubrovnik this summer is hosting the fashion spectacle 'Dubrovnik international fashion week'..Which will be held from 1 to 5 July on the world most beautiful "open air" stage - Stradun.
This fashion event will be the event of international character for the first time in one place, bringing together some of the most promising Croatian and European designers, who will present the imaginative collection of Dubrovnik residents and many tourists.
This year we are proud to present Dubrovnik with a fashion event of international impact, which we hope will not only establish firmly in the city’s annual calendar of events, but also in the international fashion calendar.
This collaboration of fashion and entertainment is novel and unique for Croatia. This event will focus on the highest level of artistic excellence within the current fashion and event scene in Europe.
A lavish purpose-built catwalk will be set on the famed central piazza within the historic walls of the Dubrovnik Old Town to host a series of fashion shows. The event will take place in the open air against a backdrop of perfectly preserved Renaissance and Baroque churches, squares, palaces and fountains.
With a long cultural tradition, Dubrovnik combines genuine welcome with the highest levels of professionalism.
Dubrovnik Fashion Week aims to instigate and strengthen relationships and improve collaborations between both young and well-established designers from Croatia and the global fashion industry. Dubrovnik Fashion Week International, with the principal support of the Ministry of Tourism, Dubrovnik City Council and Dubrovnik Neretva County is goinh to be held from July 1 to July 5, 2009
