Zrmanja River Kruševo

Most of the river is a shallow canyon, and the mouth is flooded due to the rise of the sea level after the last Ice age. Brackish water of estuary is a fertile habitat for numerous plant and animal species and a significant fish hatchery, while the entire Zrmanja stream is protected as a significant natural landscape.
