Vrh (eng. Top) is a settlement on the island. It is only 4.6 kilometers away from the town of Krk and it is its northern suburb today. The hinterland of town Krk is first inhabited in the 15th century and in several smaller settlements. Today, all these settlements are under the Local Council Summit, which includes Vrh, Kosice and Salatici. A total of 769 inhabitants live here. Green hills above the town Krk are the ideal place for rent an apartment, a room or holiday house on the island for those who want to enjoy all the delights of this region, but to avoid the crowds which are typical for the island of Krk in the summer. Close enough to the sea and golden island beaches, but far enough away from the town of Krk so you can pull in Mediterranean silence of summer nights. There is Chapel St. Anastasia in Vrh, which was first mentioned in the Vatican Archives in 1338, and which dates back to early Christian times.
