Veliki zal Beach Prizba

The southern coast of the island of Korcula is best known for its rocky beaches offering steady terrain for tireless sunbathing and throwing your body into the warm waves of the Adriatic. But even here there are magical pebbly and sandy beaches for weaker swimmers and families with children. One of the most beautiful beaches is Veliki zal (The great beach) in Prizba, a place worth visiting even if you have not rented an apartment, a room or a holiday house in Prizba. The beach is situated on the eastern side of the Ratak peninsula, and besides a pleasant walk along the beautiful Korcula coast, you can reach the beach by a car. Underwater Korcula is the ultimate destination for all those who do not hesitate to dive into the mysterious depths, while the surface can be explored by jet-ski or boat along with learning to sail on the board. The road through the woods leads to the western side of the peninsula with a restaurant, a snack bar and a shop there. There is not much natural shade on the beach until late afternoon when the sun is hitting behind a stone wall which is leaning on the pebble of Veliki zal beach. Enjoy!
