Apartments Mery - Dugi Otok Veli Rat - Croatian Islands

We spent 11 nights in the apartment, the apartment has a great location, new, well maintained, kitchen with basic necessities. We were very happy that our dog was also welcome, both in the apartment and in the place itself and on the island. No obstacles, well received everywhere.

The apartment is clean, nicely decorated and well equipped. The owners are very kind. An ideal place for a real vacation!

We were guests of Maria and Edo in June 2023 (05-13). Even though my wife and I (both of us are 62) are very picky, I can fully recommend this place. Wonderful place and wonderful hosts. Modern apartment equipment. Kitchen equipment complete. Very clean.

We spent 10 pleasant, peaceful days in Mary's apartment. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner's son, a gentleman who is clear, natural, and discreet. He gave us all the necessary information because we are on Dugi Otok for the first time, even where there are good and longer paths for walking our husky, which the entire owner's family treated with sympathy from the beginning. The apartment welcomed us clean and tidy. Decorated tastefully and practically. Furniture, beds, kitchenette, all made and decorated with meaning and respect for the people who will live there. As I cook every day, I was pleasantly surprised that the dishes are of good quality and have everything you need. In addition to discretion, neatness and taste, I was glad to spend the year with people who respect their guests and don't just want to squeeze money. As for Veronić, it's a peaceful town, quiet, with the warmest sea I've ever swam in! (Mr. Mary told me that it is because it is quite shallow, the deepest up to 5 m) In the beginning, I missed a birk where she would drink coffee by the sea in the morning (of the 2 small restačas, not one of them works in the morning), or an old core of houses that she would look around. But calmness, nature, small coves and beaches with turquoise sea (again at the recommendation of the owner) outweighed the positives. I am writing this last evening, sitting by the sea, saying goodbye to my dear coast and praying and hoping for favorable opportunities so that they can return in the coming years. Thank you, the sea, and the family of the owner of the Mary apartment!

Our first visit to the island and luckily we immediately found an apartment where we want to stay in the coming years as well if it will be possible. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a warm lady. Marija, who gave us useful information and advice. The yard and the house itself, where our apartment is located, is beautifully decorated and maintained. We were greeted by a neat and clean apartment, including a fridge and freezer (unfortunately, this was often not the case in some of the other apartments we stayed in, so I emphasize that). The apartment has everything you need for a pleasant stay and we really felt at home. You have a view of the sea from the bedroom, and a view of the olive trees from the kitchen, which is connected to the dining room. All windows have mosquito nets and shutters, which is to be commended, Wi-Fi without problems (the host Mr. Edo made sure that everything was as it should be). There is no terrace in our apartment, but the hosts kindly offered us to use the barbecue and terrace in the garden. The location is great, in the immediate vicinity you have a small shop and two restaurants, good coffee in the beach bar Sol in Soline (Verunić-Soline is 2.4 km) and there is a slightly cheaper Studenac store, you can swim right below the apartment, but we especially liked the beach at the Mandarino camp, some 800 m away. Sakarun beach is also close, only 2.4 km from Verunić. We are coming back next summer, we fell in love with this wonderful island, there are many more locations we want to explore and we sincerely hope to stay in the same accommodation.

Verunić is a beautiful quiet bay for a perfect vacation, and when you add a good unobtrusive host and a clean neat apartment, it is a winning combination. I recommend the apartment in every way as well as Dugi otok as a destination. My family will surely visit Dugi otok again and return to the same host. Thank you for everything.
