Ugljan is an island northwest of the island Pasman and southeast of the islands Rivanj and Sestrunj. Area of 50,21 km2 (length 22 km, width up to 3,8 km) ranks it among the largest croatian islands. From the coast is separated by the Zadar channel, and with island Pasman is connected by the bridge. On Ugljan is located the same name place.
Ugljan has about 7500 inhabitants. Accommodation capacities which are on tourists disposals are about 2000 beds. There is one hotel, and many private apartments, camps and villas.
