Tkalec Castle in Štrigova was constructed in the 18th century as a manor for the Štrigova Pauline monks. Towards the end of the century, the religious order was dissolved, and the castle came under the ownership of local nobility. Throughout its history, various owners held the castle, but they all shared a common passion for grape cultivation.
