Tisno is a small town on the island Murter. It is located partly on a Tisnjan peninsula and partly on the island Murter. Strait between the island and the mainland is wide only 38 meters, and since 1832 is connected with the mainland by a bridge. The newer part of town is built on a land area Gomilica. Bridge which is mobile is an attraction, all there is straightly defined when it will be up and out of order and at what time it is possible to cross it. That occurs few times a day. Tisno is only 28 kilometers away from Šibenik and 56 kilometers from Zadar.
Total number of population in Tisno district is 3239 inhabitants, but just Tisno has about 1430 inhabitants.
Tisno is widely know for many electronic music festivals that take time during the summer in the open air. Tourist offer is accompanied by many private apartments,
rooms and vacation houses in Tisno which provide unique local experience. Vicinity of two national parks, Krka and Kornati is the guarantee of attractive and
active vacation in Tisno.
Tisno has many bars and patisseries, and many restaurants to make to its guests holidays even more comfortable. Beaches are all over, and many apartments have its own entrance to the sea, so you can really enjoy alone or you can go to public beach.
On the hill Broscica above Tisno is a shrine to Lady of Karavaja.
