Šumanovci Sanctuary

Šumanovci Sanctuary, also known as the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Good Hope, is located near Gunja, in the eastern part of Croatia, close to the Bosnian-Herzegovinian border. The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Šumanovci is particularly known for its feast, which is held on the Feast of the Assumption, August 15th, when pilgrims from all over Croatia, as well as from neighboring countries, come for Mass and participate in the procession. The feast at Šumanovci includes traditional religious rites and folk customs.
