Sukosan is a town 11 kilometers southeastern from Zadar. It is in the middle of Adriatic coast, very well connected with the rest of the country as it lies on the main road through Dalmatia. Highway A1 is also very close. Airport Zadar – Zemunik is part of the district.
According to population census from the year 2001, total population of Sukosan area is 4402 inhabitants, but just Sukosan has about 2500 inhabitants. Farming, viticulture, olive growing, fruit growing and tourism are main branches in Sukosan.
Accommodation in Sukosan is available in a motel, many hotels, private apartments, camps, private villas and in a big marina. It is known that Sukosan has great tourist offer, and it is known as town of vine and song. It is beautiful, and if you walk you will experience charm of traditional tight streets of stone. Fishing, windsurfing, volleyball on sand, paintball and diving are just some of sports which are on your disposal when you are in Sukosan. Very attractive offer is rafting on the nearby rivers.
