Slavonski Brod is a city in Croatia, located in Slavonija, and it is center of Brodsko-Posavska County. It is the second biggest town in Slavonia and the sixth in Croatia. Slavonski Brod is settled on the north bank of the river Sava on the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. It represents a major traffic routes in the direction of east - west and north - south. Very close is also an international border. The city is located on the halfway between Zagreb and Belgrade, between the hills Dilj in the north and the river Sava in the south. According to population census from the year 2001, Slavonski Brod has 63268 inhabitants and it is sixth city in Croatia by the number of inhabitants.
