Skradin town beach

Skradin is not just a passing point on the way to the magical waterfalls of the Krka River and the entrance to the Krka National Park. Skradin is a blend of sea and fresh water in a landscape painted by the best of the rivers and the Adriatic, all perched in the lush green grass and sedge, under fantastic limestone paintings in the canyon along which the city runs. Skradin had carried a heavy burden of sacred history and therefore, we can see a large number of churches in a relatively small area of the city, but all its streets have always led to the shores that descend into the clear turquoise waters of Krka. Skradin town beach is located north of the marina, upstream from the city center and it goes deeper into the canyon, waiting for the springs of fresh water from the lush river Krka. The water here is sweet, though the sea is still present in quiet calm streams that please swimmers, but also the fishermen whom we will often find here out of season. The beach is pebbly, long and wide, with grassy fragments disappearing in the shade of nearby trees. There is never too much crowd here, and the beach is a real refreshment in the summer heat as the water is several degrees colder than the sea. It is convenient for staying on the beach with the youngest, and pets are not allowed. Kračana Beach in Skradin, as the locals call the town beach, do not offer tourist attractions or additional facilities, it is offering peace and joy of the pristine natural beauty, and all amenities are within easy reach of the beach, in the center of town which is a few steps away. If you rent an apartment, room or vacation house in Skradin, you will not have to start a car to get to the beach, and if you are in the vicinity of the city, there is no problem to find a parking place here, as well as the peace of the magical summer days and nights in Croatia.
