Sibenik is a city in the middle of Dalmatia, somewhere on the half way between Zadar and Split. It has big traffic influence, as through Sibenik passes Jadranska magistrala which is the main road through Dalmatia, and the main tourist road through Croatia, highway A1, is branching for Sibenik. It is one of bigger dalmatian cities, alongside with Split and Zadar. Coast line of Sibenik region is 56,2 kilometers of air line, and 805,9 kilometers in real. The sea is the biggest treasure for the whole region. Sibenik is surrounded by national parks and nature parks.
Climate on this area is typical Mediterranean, with mild winters and hot summers. Three type of wings are characteristically for this area, they are Jugo (warm wind which blows from the sea and brings wet and instable whether), Bura (cold wind which blows from the coast and brings colder whether, but stable and sunny) and Maestral (it helps during the summer to stand the hotness).
Accommodation in Sibenik is mostly in hotels, but if you want to stay at the edge parts of town, it will be easy for you to find some beautiful villa or apartment for rent. In the center you can rent a flat or stay in a hotel, but just as you step out from the center you will experience the availability of many other types of accommodation. Cultural life of Sibenik is very interesting. Sibenik is a tourist center, and also a center of culture as its rich history could be seen on every step.
