The modernly equipped Apartment Marta (area 100 m2) for 7 people is located on the ground floor of a family house surrounded by greenery and has two large rooms with double beds with a beautiful view of the sea, one spacious room with three beds, two bathrooms with a shower and WC, spacious living room with an extra bed, dining room and kitchen connected to a covered gazebo and barbecue. A large covered gazebo (area 40 m2) with a barbecue and seating for 8 people and two terraces (area 50 m2) with a sea view equipped with seating and two deckchairs are intended only for the guests of this apartment. In front of the apartment there is a landscaped garden with two large trees, grass and flowers and three free parking spaces. The facility is located in a quiet part of the city, 10 minutes' walk to the first beach and the city center.
A large, comfortable apartment, well-equipped, with air conditioning, although without a dishwasher. It is as in the description and photos. The owner was very nice; We communicated in English, but you can also communicate in the "Slavic" language. It takes a few minutes to walk to the nearest beach through residential streets, crossing a busy road and 200 stairs at the end. It's definitely worth it because it's beautiful! Even though it's small, every time we were there there was room for six of us (we were in Senj at the beginning of July). On the side of the beach there is a place from which you can jump into the water, you can also cross the water or swim to a similar beach next to it, or further to the rocks. There is a spring on the beach (similar to other places in the area) which gives a very interesting effect. Close to the shore, fresh, cooler water collects in a thin layer on the surface, above the warmer seawater, before mixing with it in the rippling sea. In the center of Senj, there are two large supermarkets (5 minutes by car from the apartment), restaurants and ice cream parlors. There are also two partially concreted beaches in the center. You can park at both of them, and on one of them there is a jumping platform. Nearby there are two pitches where, after sunbathing, we played international football matches until sunset. We didn't have time to visit the mountains surrounding the city, but it's definitely worth it.
Recommended for : Active holidays, People looking for peace, Families with children,It was a nice holiday in a very large, very clean apartment with an equally large terrace. There was a small grocery store within walking distance, for larger purchases there were supermarkets in Senje (5 minutes by car). There was always quick communication with the very nice landlord in advance. The transaction was impeccable! Unfortunately, there was a construction site right in front of the house at the same time (which the landlord was not responsible for). The way (10 minutes on foot) to a very small, pretty bay was connected with crossing a very busy road and a longer, but attractive descent with many steps. The walk to the small old town of Senji was about a 20 minute walk. The place is well suited for excursions into the hinterland, eg to the Plitvice Lakes.
Recommended for : Families with children,We stayed for 10 days in Ivica's home (both upstairs and downstairs apartments). Ivica was a kind and gracious host. The home was impeccably clean and we enjoyed the outdoor spaces for our large group. The grill was beautiful. You can see the sea from the home and it's approximately a 10-15 min walk to the center of Senj and Voda Plaze (215 stairs! but nice beach). Otherwise you need a car, but Senj has plenty of free parking. The neighbors are close by but we had no issues. Senj may not be as popular as other Istrian or Dalmatian towns, but we loved it and all the locals were kind. Prices were much more reasonable too compared to other coastal towns. I highly recommend!
