Apartments in Primošten

Primosten is a small town, about 28 kilometers away from Sibenik, and about 50 kilometers from Split. It is a prominent tourist destination, and real jewel of Adriatic.

Climate is Mediterranean, with mild winters and hot summers. Because of its geographical position, during the summer rain is very rare, and if it happen to rain, that last only a few hours.
It is separated on Primosten Burni and Primosten Juzni, so it includes several small villages. Some villages are located about 5-10 kilometers from center of town, and are on the hill. Because of that, nights in those villages are much fresher than in the center of Primosten, because humidity is lower, so it is easier to sleep.

Total population of Primosten is 2992 inhabitants, according to population census from year 2001. Most of them are engaged in tourism, but they also have their regular jobs which don’t necessary include tourism. Primosten has all, a bank, post, boutiques, many stores, ambulance and much more.
Primosten has two small peninsulas. On one is the old core of town, and on the other are only two hotels, and there are no other facilities on it expect one restaurant in the middle of pine forest, and just few meters away from the beach.  Beaches in Primosten are beautiful, and are all over. So, the most popular and extremely beautiful beach is all around the peninsula on which are two hotels. At some points, that beach is from small pebbles, and at some points are rocks which are also very popular. That beach is called Raduca. There are Small Raduca and Big Raduca. Those beaches are most popular, but across the whole Primosten area are beaches suitable for sunbathing and swimming. And restaurants, taverns and bars are everywhere, so you can exit the sea and sit at some bar without walking too much.
Accommodation in Primosten could be found in two hotels, private villas and apartments, in a camp and in marinas. Primosten has two marinas, of which one is at its area, and the other it shares with neighborhood villages. Also, yachts and boats could be parked at the waterfront in the old town. Camp has 400 parcels with connection to electricity and can accept 1500 guests. In private apartments and villas there are all together more than 4000 beds.
Night life in Primosten is excellent, even for the ones who like parting and for the ones who don’t, as disco club Aurora is separated from the center, so noise is not loud in the center. And Aurora is one of the most popular disco clubs in Croatia, and often hosts leading world DJs.
There are few restaurants on the hill, just a little bit outside of the center, so you can enjoy the breathtaking view on the whole Primosten and two peninsulas while you have dinner. That is unforgettable experience.
As national parks Krka and Kornati are close to Primosten, during the season excursions go everyday to those two national parks. Also, sport terrains for all kind of sports are everywhere so sportsmen will be satisfied.

Every year in first week of August is held one traditional event in Primosten, called Primostenske uzance, every year in the other village of Primosten. That is the time when the whole place goes back to the past and tries to live for one week in that style again. That is very interesting to the tourists, just as one night festivities which are also held every year on some special days.

The old core on small peninsula is gorgeous. Beaches are all around, and inside are old stone houses, old taverns, restaurants and bars. There is also a big square where are held many festivals and events on a daily basis. But something what you must see is a small church at the top of the hill inside of the old core. It dominates the entire place, and peace which you will feel there will be something what you will never forget. It’s quiet up there and view is something what can’t be described.
