Podaca is a small coastal town situated in Makarska riviera consisted of three little villages: Kapeć, Viskovića vala and Ravanje. It is under the composition of municipal Gradac and it has population of around 660 inhabitants. Main branches are tourism, fishing, farming and olive growing. It lies on Adriatic Highway giving this place great connection with the rest of the region. Accommodation in Podaca is available in comfortable houses, private apartments and villas. This place is mostly visited because of beautiful beaches, rich history and cultural heritage. First time Podaca is mentioned in 1477. It is worth to see church of St. Ivan na groblju, which was built by famous family Kačić. It is also worth to mention other two churches: church of St. Jurje and church of St. Mihovil. You should definitely visit Podaca if you like maintained beaches with blue sea and many tourist facilites.
