Just a few kilometers southwest of the famous sandy beach Zlatni rat (Golden Horn), there is a Murvica beach on Brač, a piece of paradise that many will discover only on this site. Murvica is not famous as the golden sand of the Horn, but it is golden, with its gravel spread under the green slopes of the island, on its sunniest side, famous for fine seafood and meat delicacies. Yes, the small village of Murvica is a good place to eat and it is a good place for bathing on a small beach that has remained hidden from many tourists, especially in the months' offseason. Murvica is 6 km away from Bol, and is surrounded by picturesque vineyards and pebble beaches. If you have found an apartment, room or holiday house in Bol, you can reach this village by foot or by local transport, or by bicycles or ships. Murvica is carved into a rock, and the inseparable cluster of man and stone on the Dalmatian karst is painted in the historical sites of the Dragon`s cave and the Dračevo port, which are located in the vicinity, dating from the 15th century. There is only one catering facility next to the beach, and there is not a lot of recreational amenities around like in the neighboring Bol - this is a place for a true departure from modernity and arduous everyday life. Try it.
