Apartments Villa Scala - Mlini - Dubrovnik region

We stayed at Villa Scala from June 18 to June 24, 2019 and we were delighted. Very nice, very clean, not far from beaches, bus stops, Dubrovnik .... Very welcoming and caring owners were very nice. I recommend this accommodation

Stayed at Villa Scala apartment and loved every minute of our stay in this lovely apartment with wonderful view of the bay and sea. Very comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. Enjoyed sitting out on the generous balcony early mornings and evenings was so tranquil! Our host was very friendly, helpful and kind and we found homemade gifts of cake and wine awaiting us most days during our stay too! Well situated for travelling to Dubrovnik and Cavtat easily by bus or boat. Mlini beach is only 5 minutes walk away offering selection of restaurants and bars as well as boat trips to various islands. We are definately hoping to return. Many thanks.

We loved our stay in this spacious apartment with the most wonderful view of the bay and sea. Very comfortable beds and suitably equipped, in the kitchen. Sitting out on the big balcony for breakfast was such a great way to start the day. Our host was so helpful and kind and we found homemade gifts of cake and wine awaiting us on certain days during our stay too! The location is perfect for getting into Dubrovnik easily by bus and the bay itself has a lovely restaurant and bars as well as boat trips to various islands and along the coastline. Thank you! We have been going to Croatia for seven years and in no other apartment did anyone care about us like here. Very nice and hospitable hosts - home made cake, wine. Towels and bed linen were often exchanged. Every day, garbage was thrown away. Apartment fully equipped, with a sea view terrace. Peace and quiet. A charming town. A good base for Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Good connection to Dubrovnik. You can rest here and relax. If in the vicinity of Dubrovnik we recommend Mlini Villa Scala. We recommend the Kupari beach - a wide beach and clear water.

We stayed at 4 bed apartment with our family with children and were very warm welcomed by the hosts. Everything was well prepared for us, the apartment was clean, cozy and with a great view of the sea. We wished we could stay longer and did not have to leave! Thank you!

Very nice place, excellent and clean apartment and very friendly family. In August 2017 we stayed for 14 days and we had one of the most beautiful vacations in Croatia. Quiet location, very close to Dubrovnik, great opportunities for excursions, small beaches with very clean water. We were very pleased, I can only recommend the apartment.

Based upon our multiple visits to Eastern Europe, my family and I felt this was one of the best villa, pension experiences we've had in the region. Our top-floor suite had 3 very comfortable bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen and living room, as well as a stunning terrace overlooking the Mlini harbour and Adriatic. Mihovil and his mother, were exceptional hosts, and were always happy to help when we asked for assistance - including collecting a lost bag at the airport, booking transfers, navigating around town, and just making us feel at home. We would have no hesitance in recommending this family establishment to anyone who is able-bodied enough to climb up to the Villa Scala from the town below.

From 15th to 30th June with my husband and two friends (I mark this fact, because the opinion I write is shared by all four of us) spent an amazing time in Mlini. Fortunately, we were able to find one of the better located quarters in the whole town. The location, along with the views and proximity to all the infrastructure needed on vacation, the facilities (shops, restaurants, bars, beach - different to choose from) made us very happy. What is most memorable in living in Villa Scala are the hosts. I have no words to express my gratitude for such warm hospitality and caring for us throughout our stay. The hosts, smiling every day, drove us local delicacies like alcohols, pastries and other regional delicacies to create an unforgettable atmosphere. They were also very helpful on the spot, when we were looking for rental car, we asked about the least important things, they were always at the station and served invaluable help. In addition to location, a huge plus is the accommodation itself. First floor apartment with kitchen space arranged as a separate room (important for two couples). Kitchen equipped is sensational. You can prepare your own meals (except for the aforementioned shop under the house is Lidl 4 km. The view is amazing! There is also a private bathroom with a large shower, as well as a washing machine where you can use it. Also the bathroom facilities are fully satisfactory. And finally the cleanliness. The hosts are passing themselves again! Every day the rooms are neatly cleaned, linen and towels are changed. Complemented assortment in the kitchen and bathroom (ie changing the dishwasher, towels, paper, etc.). I really highly recommend this place for a holiday! I assume that it is not worth returning to the same places, because the world has much to offer us, but thanks to this Balkan hospitality I changed my mind! I\'m coming back! One of our best locations and holidays in Croatia. Perfectly clear sea. Accommodation very polite and very nice hosts. It is very much worthwhile to come here again. Perfect location is near Dubrovnik and the possibility to use local transport. The only thing you can criticize is a big main road to Dubrovnik, we had to cross the road to get to the sea. However, this was minimal complications. One can find everything there, calm, fun, clean sea, small beaches, fish when snorkeling. Once again, super.

We spent a wonderful holiday in Villa Scala. The accomodation was excellent, clear, equipped with everything, with a wonderful sea view. The host is very very kind. I can recommend to everybody.

On arrival the family greeted us with homemade gateau and nut brandy and proceeded to explain where all the local facilities were. We stayed in apartment 2 which was quite large for 2 people and well fitted out. As well as the usual equipment it had a very large fridge freezer, a big TV and even a washing machine. The large seperate bedroom had lots of storage space as did the rest of the appartment. Every day we were left treats by the lady of the house either freshly baked cakes or homemade wine. The only slight downside to this property is that it is an uphill walk from the village but we managed OK. Overall we enjoyed our stay in Villa Scala and would recommend it.

We stayed at Villa Scala, in an apartment for 6 people, we were in June 2016 for 15 days. The apartment is large, clean, and has a beautiful view. The owners are very friendly and hospitable. Madam prepare for us excellent zucchini, cakes, we got home grown pears, mainly, everything is great. The beach is a near, about 5 min. We and our children enjoyed in our vacation.

Lovely well kept and clean, convenient to get to Dubrovnik and close to beautiful beaches. The hosts are friendly and welcoming upon our arrival we were offered a slice of cake and a drink, and every day we did find pastries, fruit or vegetables. Also every day they heavily influenced by the beds and beat us the junk. The apartment is large and spacious from the back garden and this has allowed us to stay calm and cool. Really everything perfect.

The host family is very nice and helpful. The accomodation is perfect, very big appartament, full equiped kitchen and great location. I can strongly recomend to everyone. It was my sixth stay in Croatia and I have never had better conditions.

Very cosy and spacious 2 bedroom apartment in Mlini. Excellent host, warm welcome and responsive during our stay. Would definitely go back again. Mlini is a small village near Dubrovnik; the beach is close, and you\'ll find nearby good restaurants as well. Dubrovnik is a 10 minute drive.

The total impression is very gratifying. We stayed in different places on the Adriatic coast and only one we have had a similar experience. In addition to being a very good accommodation and services within that, the hosts were very friendly, pleasant and really made us feel welcome. Dubrovnik, Cavtat, Lokrum, Tresteno are the places that we visited traveling by boat and car. It's beautiful! We will gladly recommend to friends.

Our welcome was fantastic, the whole family received us like royalty, they have been present throughout our stay. We highly recommend it. The villa is beautiful, it's clean, the rooms are neat, linens are changed even during our stay. And the sea is 5 minutes walk!

Two pairs, we really enjoyed staying at Villa Scala (apartment with 2 air-conditioned bedrooms with balcony, kitchen and large bathroom). The apartment is very clean, comfortable and well equipped, and the view of the sea and islands is fantastic. Just 3 minutes walk from the bus stop, even though we came by car (Villa Scala has a private parking) in order to avoid traffic jams in Dubrovnik, we used the bus. Family members Fjorović were very friendly and welcoming. A big thank you to Mrs. Anka very delicious cakes and home-grown vegetables that are found in the kitchen every day. Thank the Lord Christ and the domestic first-class wine and prepare the grill. We also thank Michael on a nice communication during booking.

We, 2 couples, really enjoyed during our stay in Villa Scala in the apartment consist of 2 spacious bedrooms with air conditioning and balcony. The apartment is very clean, well equipped and comfortable and the view of the sea and islands is fantastic. There is a bus station just 3 Minutes walk away, thus, even we came by car (there is a parking place in the Villa Scala) we used bus to visit Dubrovnik, just to avoid traffic jam. Family Fjorovic is very friendly and hospitable. Many thanks to Ms Anka for the delicious cakes and homegrown vegetables which we found each afternoon in our room and to Mr Kristo for delicious homemade wine and grill organization. As well, thanks to Mihovil for a very good contact during the booking of the apartment.

The villa was exactly what my friends and I were looking for and wanted. It had a stunning view from the balcony and the two queen beds in the two bedrooms were very comfortable and warm. The bathroom was clean and the kitchen was small but easy for quick snacks and cooking. Our hosts made us homemade Croatian deserts each day and they were lovely. The location is perfect; just outside of Dubrovnik next to a beautiful beach on the bay. The villa provides free parking which was ideal because we had a rental car. Overall, the place was amazing.

A great location, comfortable, pleasantly furnished and clean facility, incredibly friendly hosts who made for us, at the arrival and departure, coffee and cakes, and they urged us not to logout. The only area in which they wanted to receive us only one night (New Year), we could not stay longer because of the small children that we have left home. All praise and recommendations.

We have stayed at the Villa Scala A6 appartment in October. The apartment is very clean, has everything you need as a family (dishwasher, washing machine, pans, oven etc). Everything is new and well decorated. Mihovil's mother (owner) was putting fresh home-made cake in the living room during the day, very nice. The view from the balcony is amazing, looking at the sea. The apartment has a parking space and is about 8km from Dubrovnik by car. If I come back to Dubrovnik I would stay here again.

Four of us, 2 couples, are back from a 10 day stay in the beautiful Villa Scala . Everything the advert says about the accommodation is true with all the beds / space / equipment/ balcony / view etc is accurate. One thing the adverts do not tell you is the quality of the people & the service they provide. From pick up at the airport, maintenance of the apartment, response to problems with satelite, even Mum, Anka, leaving home made cakes for us & Merhovil donating a bottle of 1st class homemade wine. So yes the apartment is stunning but the people you meet absolutely make your holiday.

Confirm the previous reviews. Indeed kept clean apartment and very nice hosts. What you should also point out the beautiful coastline of Mlini partly sandy beach. We highly recommend this apartment and the resort.

The apartment was clean. The view from the balcony was fantastic, an ideal place for having breakfast or dinner. The owners are very kind, helpful. We got tasty cakes and fruits almast every day from the owners. I would recommend this apartment for anybody to have a nice holiday in Dalmatia.

We stayed in this lovely apartment which is located in Mlini, a town near Dubrovnik. We rented the apartment consists of 2 spacious bedrooms with air conditioning and balcony with views over the bay. The stay was lovely, we found everything clean and tidy. The comfortable bathroom with bathtub with glass door. The only drawback. The kitchen that was built into the space in front of the 2 bedrooms, as it turns out to be small and not suitable for 4 people. However, we still managed to organize dinners on the patio dining. In exchange, the fridge is great. The owners are really nice, friendly and very hospitable. I'm really surprised by their kindness that we have reserved a number of occasions. Despite the limit of very small kitchen, we would return the same!!

The best place to stay in Dubrovnik! We had an amazing time and loved the house!

I stayed with my family at Mlini in May 2013 and enjoyed the flat very much. The living room with american kitchen is very large and comfortable. There is WiFi, TV with many european TV Channels. And a fully equiped kitchen (The photos are not up to date, there is now a microwave and a Coffee machine ;) ). But most of all there are the balcony and the large windows towards the bay. It was always a good start of the day to have breakfast with this wonderful view! And you could even have a sunbath on the balcony. One evening there was a thunderstorm above the bay, we could watch it from the safety of the apartment. It was amazing! What is more to say? There were two clean and modern bathrooms. The bedrooms were quite basic and small, but the beds were comfortable. There is a small super marked and grocery store just 3 minutes away, it is about 8 minutes to the beach. Be warned that there are stairs, on the way to the beach as well as in the building up to the 3rd floor. I would not recommend it for disabled or geriatric (or lazy ;) ) people. There is a bus station just 3 Minutes walk away, we visited Dubrovnik as well as Cavtat by bus (price for the bus is almost nothing and the bus ride itself is amazing - pay attention to the coastline and the cliffs!). We tried several restaurants and our favorite one was a restaurant next to the harbour, between water polo field and the pier for the boat service to Dubrovnik / Caftat. It was tasty as well as inexpensive and also used by the natives. (I forgot the name of the restaurant, sorry) The owner Mihovil was very nice. On the first day he asked us if there was something missing. The only thing we found was a European style Coffee maker. We went to the beach and expected that he will by a new one the next days or weeks. But when we came back got a brand new coffee maker. So if you miss something, just ask him. When i come back to Croatia, I will rent this flat again!

The apartment was just as nice as we expected from the pictures. Clean, tidy and new. It was complete, everything we needed was there, from dishwasher and down to the smaller things like soap and toiletpaper. Our host was very pleasant, always helpful and welcoming. We felt welcome and at home from the first moment. There was even cold juice and water in the fridge at arrival. We were provided with homegrown figs, plums and tomatoes -, and homemade cakes - during our entire stay. This was our fourth holiday in Croatia. Our host this year was probably the most attentive and helpful we have experienced - which says a lot, because we are already impressed with the politeness, helpfulness and warmth we have been met with every time we have been here.! The restaurants our host recommended, were also very nice.Good food and pleasant waiters. Be prepared to walk a few stairs - apart from that :Totally recommended! We had a beautiful time during our stay in Villa Scala from 14. of July 2013 till 25. of July. The apartment is very well equipped, comfortable, very clean and has a fantastic view of the sea and islands. Family Fjorovic is very friendly and hospitable, takes very good care of everything. Many thanks to Ms. Fjorovic for the delicious cakes, home made wine, fruits and vegetables, which we found each afternoon in our room when we came back from the beach. :-) Many thanks to Mr. Fjorovic for driving us to the supermarket and to the airport. The apartment was just as great as described in the advertisment. And the view was even more beautiful than in pictures. Just a place we were looking for, a nice apartment near Dubrovnik with all conveniences. Getting around was really easy (when having your own car) as the main road to Dubrovnik is so close, but not too close the traffic noise would disturb you. In the neighbourhood you can find everything necessary, many groceries, pharmacy, cashpoint etc. And of course the nice little beaches :) Villa Scala is a very beautiful house, and so is the apartment, too. Family Fjorovic takes very good care of everything, the property is very well maintained. Our host Mihovil was very helpful and friendly and made us feel comfortable during our stay. We will absolutely recommend Villa Scala to our friends!

The apartment is faithfully reproduced in the photos, well finished and equipped with all comforts. Clean and elegant. We also benefited from two parking spaces in the yard of the villa. It has a beautiful view of the sea. It is located about 9 km from Dubrovnik and close to the beaches of Cavtat. We were two families respectively composed of husband, wife and two children. A few meters from the house we could rent a boat for 2 days with which we visited the nearby islands until you get to Dubrovnik. We arrived in Mlini June 23 and departed June 30, 2013. Fjorović The family is very friendly and put us at ease immediately. We thank Mrs. Fjorovic for delicious desserts that made us asseggiare arrival and during our stay. We also recommend to eat in the restaurant of Igor husband of Nina (daughter of the owners of the apartment) that is located just outside the city walls of Dubrovnik. Ms. Nina and her husband Igor speak Italian very well and are very nice. A big salute to Mihovil (son of the family) with whom I exchanged a few emails before booking. We have replaced three accommodation within fourteen days, and this was masterfully the best - very nice owners, friendly approach, great attitude.

The apartments are fully respond to photos, accommodation is in excellent condition and very clean. The owners are a very kind and helpful. I recommend everyone this place to spend quality vacation in Mlini, because of beautiful beaches and nearness to Dubrovnik and Montenegro. Neighboring areas, restaurants and other attractions you can visit by car.

Apart photographs are accurate and realistic display facility and rooms for accommodation. Rooms and sanitary facilities were neat and regular (daily) maintained, and hospitality and service in general is extremely high. Location (Mlini) where accommodation is characterized by beautiful rocky and sandy beaches and clear blue sea. Accommodation would recommend all tourists who have a personal car. Public transportation is not overwhelmed, because they are sick, overcrowded buses during the summer. Younger people might miss the place a long night out. All in all: excellent.
