Losinj Museum was established in September 2007 when the town of Mali Losinj singled department of the Open University Mali Losinj. The Museum is active on two islands today, island of Losinj and Cres, and at three locations, in Veli Losinj, Mali Losinj and Osor. Headquarters of the Museum is in Mali Losinj in the palace Fritzi with a permanent exhibition. Here you can see the collection Piperata and Mihicic along with photos of Dante Lussino. Museum space in Veli Losinj is situated in a massive tower and, besides the permanent exhibition, there is also the Tower Gallery. Osor houses the archaeological collection and an independent expert department. The permanent exhibition is located on the first floor with a spacious balcony that is opened to the public in 2010 with ancient monuments and statues and stone remains from the Romanesque and pre-Romanesque. Palace Fritzi often host a variety of events, exhibitions, presentations and conferences, but also other museum spaces boast occasional activities.
