There is one of the most picturesque and most famous bays of the island Brac, on its north shores, overlooking the distant Split town. Somewhere halfway between Postira and Pucisca, you will find Lovrecina bay, a beautiful ravines among the rocks, bathed by the clear Adriatic sea and the sun rays. You will finds Lovrecina beach in the bay, another one among the marvellous sandy beaches of Brac, which is not ashamed even of the most memorable, Golden Horn (Zlatni rat). Lovrecina bay invites all who rent an apartment, a room or a vacation house in Postira, and elsewhere in Brac. It is not just the beach worth visiting Lovrecina - here you can see the remains of the Basilica of St. Lovre from the 5th century of our era. The basilica carries the name of the saint who is celebrated on August 10, when all the devotees from the island pilgrim to Lovrecina. Apart from the Basilica, there are other valuable archaeological remains, such as the foundations of the Roman country villa, with the assumption that Lovrecina has always been what it is today - a place intended for enjoying and relaxing in the charms of the Mediterranean. The sandy beach is not crowded with numerous plastic amenities, there is only a restaurant with an excellent selection of local cuisine specialities and home-made local wines and oils which adds value to this place, along with a small bowling area. Lush pine and poplar vegetation is decorating the bay and turning it into paradise gardens.
