Krapanj is an island in the Šibenik archipelago, which is called the "Croatian Venice". The highest point of the island is 1.25 meters above sea level, and the stone houses that are planted on its surface appear to emerge from the sea foam. Although it is only a few hundred meters away from the mainland, Krapanj is an another world, a place where time disappears in the pine forests and winding streets of this charming Mediterranean settlement. The whole coastline of the island is a beach, a beach that alternates with centuries-old moles, pebbles and coastal rocks. But Krapanj also has its own special place, a place that you will easily discover if you rent an apartment, room or vacation house in Krapanj. The charming beach in Krapanj lies behind the settlement and looks out on the Zlarin Island in the distance, and with its sandy beaches it creates an ideal environment for bathing with children or for lazing in a hot shallows. If you are among the ones who prefer to jump into the sea, here you will not find the pleasure. The entrance is shallow, while the sea is clean and warm, ideal for happy hours with picigin and other games in the sand of a magical Krapanj beach. The beach has no additional contents and its primordial beauty is preserved, same as it was in the times of the sponge hunters that were seeking for their treasures in this underwater world.
