Klek is a village situated near Dubrovnik on south – east coast of the Adriatic Sea. It is located on the coast of Klek-Neum Gulf, which is on the border of the Republic of Croatia with Bosnia and Herzegovina. The place is surrounded by centuries-old olive trees, oleanders and mulberry trees. Before Klek was part of the Dubrovnik Republic, which proves that it has a rich history. Today it has population of two hundred inhabitants who are mainly working in tourism, fishing and olive growing. If you like sightseeing, you can find many interesting place like the ruins of the old city Smrdan, or Church of St. Maria. Among bathing and swimming on sandy beach, you can also participate in other activites such as tennis, mini golf and table tennis. There is a wide range of accommodation in Klek, from private apartments to hotels. The only disadvantage is lack of the quality restaurants that can be fixed by going to Ston or Dubrovnik, which are nearby. So, if you want peaceful and quite place where you can relax, Klek is ideal place for you.
