Kastav is a town near Rijeka and Opatija positioned 365 meters above the sea level. Six settlements at the area were united under the name Kastav in the year 2003. The old town Kastav was built as a fortification with 9 towers and it is a unique monument from feudal times. Solid rock fortress, preserved until today, is the tourist attraction, due to spirits of history written in silver walls and the incredible sight upon Kvarner bay with islands Krk and Cres, mountain Učka and Opatija Riviera.
