Whether you have found the accommodation in Drage or the surrounding places, or you are just on the way to the southern destinations, the Kamenjak viewpoint at Vrana Lake is the place you have to visit. Why? Because it is so close to the Adriatic Highway, settled in the fascinating wetland area of the natural Vransko Lake, which is also a nature park with incredible spots like this one overlooking all the Central Dalmatian islands and Zagora. The lake can be literally spotted from the main road, and it takes 20 something kilometers to reach Kamenjak viewpoint, driving on the asphalted and marked road. Kamenjak is a hill on the other side of the lake, and the lookout plateau is located atop with an info center and stone houses nestled around the traditional chapel of All Saints. There is a parking space at the entrance, and the surroundings are lined with cycling and hiking trails that can take you to the untamed landscapes of the nature park, which are so atypical to the Mediterranean landscape of Dalmatia. The info center is open to visitors in the summer months, and here you can get all the necessary information and maps of the area, buy unique souvenirs, enjoy the specialties of the traditional tavern that offers organic homemade dishes. Kamenjak's Tasting Room has an excellent selection of local wines also, so here you can enjoy a good company of sweet and sour droplets overlooking the islands and the bluish face of Dalmatia that will stay in your heart forever.
