Apartments Jadro - Jesenice - Split region

We booked this lovely little apartment last minute and were very happy to find it just as nice as the photos suggest. The apartment is in a lovely sheltered, private bay with calm water and lovely swimming. No tourists, just locals having the occasional swim or socialising in the evening sun. Bobbing boats, water and a perfectly located pontoon make for a relaxing setting. Borjena, the apartment owner, lives next door and was a fantastic and very generous host. Each day she would bring us local delicacies such as freshly grilled sardines, figs, juicy peaches and homemade apricot cake. Delicious! Although she lives very close to the apartment we always felt that we were given space and privacy during our stay. Although Borjena speaks little English, there was always someone on hand (or google translate) to help us find out any information we needed. The apartment itself was very clean and had everything you\'d need for a week\'s holiday. We were without transport but the bus was very convenient (although the road is quite loud) and it is easy to get to Split and Omis - about 20 minutes. There are only a couple of restaurants in the area but Split and Omis have plenty of decent places to eat. Although we often cooked fish and veg on the outside grill. We also found the location a great place to be based for exploring the more touristy islands of Brac and Hvar. If you are looking for a relaxing and authentic Croatian holiday then this is the place to go!
