Jasenak is a small mountain village located in Gorski Kotar, within the city of Ogulin. If you book accommodation in Jasenak, you will find yourself 11 kilometers away from Klek, less than 7 kilometers from Bijele and Samarske stijene, a nature reserve of special protection, and 13 kilometers from Bjelolasica. An active vacation in Jasenak is unforgettable, but here you can also just rest your soul and body in the incredible richness of natural beauty. The village is located at an altitude of 625 meters, in the Jasenačko karst field. It is surrounded by forests, mountains, and streams. There are several sources of drinking water in the village, including the Vrelo spring, which is a protected natural asset. Jasenak was founded in the 17th century when shepherds from Gomirje settled in these parts. In the past, it was an important trade and craft center, but today it is a small, rural village with less than 200 inhabitants. Many come here to enjoy nature, visit natural and cultural attractions, or engage in hiking, cycling, or other outdoor activities. There are no tourist facilities in the village itself, except for the peace and magic of rural idyll that are priceless.
