Apartments in Ist
Ist is another one of the islands in Zadar Archipelago, with population of around 200 inhabitants. It is a popular destination for the fishermen, boaters and divers. Island is surrounded by the many islets and rocks, so it is a favorite place for adventurers, but also for the ones who are looking for peaceful and quite vacation.The only forms of accommodation on this island are private apartments. Besides private accommodation you can also eat at three restaurants and pizzeria.Because of the beautiful landscape, nice people and rich history, the number of the visitors rapidly increases. First time Ist was mentioned under the name OST in 1527.If you are fond of sightseeing, there are church of St. Nikola built in 1856 and small church located on the hill Straža called “Gospa od zdravlja”. On the end, it is worth to mention that Ist from the 1928 to 1940 year had the largest navy in Dalmatia by the tonnage.
