​Ilovik is a small island in the Losinj archipelago. It is the southernmost inhabited island of the archipelago with teh area of only 5.51 square kilometers. In the only village of the same name on the island there are just 85 inhabitants. You won`t find many apartments, rooms or holiday homes in Ilovik, so book early, since many are attracted to this little piece of paradise woven into the blue sea. The natural position of Ilovik and fertile land allow inhabitants to do gardening and viticulture, which are a guarantee of enjoying the pleasures of the Mediterranean here. Some call it the island of flowers because of the lush garden surrounding almost every yard, while a specialty of the island are eucalyptus trees. There is another small island emerging from the sea near Ilovik. Its name is St. Peter, and the island protects the harbor of Ilovik from rough northern winds. The channel between the two islands is only 300 meters wide and 2.5 kilometers long and it is a natural shelter for fishermen and boaters. Ilovik is very well connected by regular boat lines to Mali Losinj, even with a fast boat line to Rijeka. Ilovik has a grocery store, post office, bakery, pastry shop and several restaurants. We are coming to Ilovik to find peace and relaxation, and leaving the island with light body and a heavy heart. Because it's hard to leave paradise.
