List of Croatian Intangible Heritages is long, and how could it not be, when Croatia has an amazing cultural heritage that still hides many surprises. Among the sweetest of them, certainly is hrapocusa, luxurious cake from island Brac which is an ordinary mix of eggs, flour, nuts, and a few common ingredients, transformed into the rhapsody of taste, aroma and fantastic palate experience. In order of not losing the tradition of making this cake, hrapocusa is included on the list of heritage. It also has a night dedicated to it which occurs in late August in Dol. Dol is a small town in the interior of island Brac, close to Postira, with just over a hundred inhabitants, but at the Hrapocusa Night manifestation, there are enough people here to eat over 20 kilos of cakes and other traditional Dalmatian desserts and specialties, such as ham or fritters. Everyone loves sweet, but this cake with the sounding name is a beauty, as well. It is named after the type of rough stone and its rustic appearance seduces even those on a diet. That night Hrapocusa is usually a host to some other heritage from the list, so the night becomes the great celebration of old crafts. Join this memorable festival because August is heading towards peaceful autumn, and find accommodation in one of the apartments, rooms or houses in Dol, nearby Postirama or another picturesque village of the unforgettable island of Brač.
