Sveti Vid is the highest peak of the island of Pag, a place that invites you to explore, a place where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the mainland and surrounding islands, a view that can not be forgotten. Sv. Vid rises above the town of Bosana, located on the north-eastern coast of the island of Pag, in the bay of Pag. If you rent an apartment, room or holiday house in Bosana on Pag, here you will be able to enjoy the beautiful pebble beaches, as well as hiking on the slopes of the moon island. The island carries this name because of its moon-like landscape, due to the fact that more than 80 percent of the island has no vegetation. If you decide to go hiking in Bosana, remember that fact and bring along a lot of fluid to make your way easier across steep rocky trails of the island. In the summer months, the average daily temperatures on the island are above 30 degrees, and therefore the smallest rise is a challenge. If you go on silver-plated roads to the shining sky above Pag, you will not regret it - you will feel like you are on a different planet, a planet of unseen beauty trapped in the stone carved by the sea. The road from Bosana to Sv. Vid leads across the main road with several kilometres of a white road. The trail has markings and is quite steep. Easiest way is on the west side. Because of the high heat, avoid the middle of the day, rather try climbing in the spring or early fall or in the early morning hours of the summer. There is the chapel of Sv. Vid at the top after which the peak was named.
