FRK Knin is not a sign of the fuss (FRK is the acronym of Festival`s name in Croatian, similar meaning as fuss), on the contrary, it is one of the most tolerating and the least frivolous festivals in Croatia, and still crowded with visitors and events. The FRK Rural Culture Festival is held every year in the second half of August in Knin, and it was initiated by the volunteers of the "Krka" Ecological Association form Knin. "Trk at FRK" or "No FRK while Krk(a)" are just some of the funny spells that invite you to visit the festival contents at the Educational Center of the Association. The first FRK was held ten years ago, and the location changed. The festival moved from spring to spring - such as Knin's area has plenty of - Kosovcica, Orasnica, Krcic. The festival is conceived as a platform for the preservation and promotion of traditional crafts, rural production, encouragement of self-employment, but also tourist development of the Knin region. So, here you can hang out with the donkey, choose your favorite swordsman, take part in adult and younger workshops, buy home-made products, listen to a lot of interesting stories, and get to know bright and optimistic people. The Rural Culture Festival represents Knin in a bright and cheerful dress, Knin, which had been raised by always diligent and optimistic hands of the peasants. FRK has its own entertainment area that will keep you here until a night time, so you better book an accommodation in Knin, and you'll keep spreading your fascination with rural culture for months on - perhaps even till the next FRK Festival.
