The Bene beach in Split is no less visited than Bačvice beach and the real jewel of the Riviera. It is located in the Marjan Forest Park and is a favourite destination for families with children and recreational people who know the Marjan paths. Bene Beach is one of the oldest beaches in Split, although it can not be reached by car. You can replace a walk through the freshness of the forest in summer time by taking a drive with a local bus or a tourist train that will both bring you to the beach. The beach has a smaller pebble part, and the rest is a rocky coast, partially paved. Bene offers relaxing moments in a tall shade of pines and refreshment in the clear sea, within easy reach of the city centre. Swimmers love it because it is maintained and equipped, and parents love it due to the safety of young swimmers which is enhanced by the high tower with the eye of an saviour thus the parent can occasionally close his own. Kids love Bene because of the water slides that descend into the clear shallow beach, and there are also sports grounds beside so you can play football, tennis or rent props for other land and sea sports. If you have rented an apartment, room or holiday house in Split and surroundings, you will visit Bene, perhaps because of the cafes and restaurants that offer home-made delicacies in the relaxing atmosphere of the Marjan Forest.
