On the edge of the Zagorje village of Gornje Ladanje, surrounded by green hills and forests, stand Bajnski Dvori, Vinica is just 4.3 kilometers away. If you have booked affordable accommodation in Vinica, visit this former magnificent residence of Croatian nobility. First mentioned in the 17th century as the property of the Both of Bajna family, who provided two Croatian bans, the castle later belonged to numerous other prominent families, including the Erdody family, who renovated it in the 19th century in the spirit of historicism. Unfortunately, Bajnski Dvori did not have a happy ending. In the turbulent times at the end of World War I, in 1918, the castle was destroyed in a fire. Only the eastern wing of the castle has been preserved to this day. Bajnski Dvori in Vinica remains a valuable cultural heritage. The park around the castle, with a lake and the castle chapel, is a perfect example of park architecture. The castle is now privately owned and not open to the public. However, it is still possible to enjoy its beauty and history by strolling through the park on top of the hill, which offers a beautiful view of the surroundings.
