Baćina is small village situated on the south of Republic of Croatia. It is located 2,5 kilometers far from city Ploče. There is mountain Biokovo and road Dubrovnik – Split going through Baćine. According to last population census from the year 2001. there are 578 inhabitants. It was named by vulgar-Latin word Baccini, which means large container, tank or pool.
