Plat beach

If you have rented an apartment, a room or a vacation house in Riviera of Dubrovnik, and still not sure where to take a swim, Plat beach could easily be ideal for you to land your towel and take a long and refreshing swimming among playful waves of the Adriatic sea. Plat beach is situated between Dubrovnik and picturesque Cavtat, exactly 12 kilometers away from Dubrovnik and just 3 kilometers away from Cavtat. There is a same named town there which is well known upon this beautiful beach, of course. The beach is divided in four parts, all of them covered with fine sand and small pebbles, generous to small children and weaker swimmers. One part is reserved for nudists while other ones offer a deal of entertainment, restaurant, showers and sport fields, such as the one for water ball where famous plays of Divlja liga is played during the summer time. The sea is clean and refreshing due to smaller sea temperatures here, lower than those in the other parts of Riviera, because of the estuary of the river Ljuta near by. There is another thing near by which is an invitation to visit Plat beach – free parking place for all the ones who are willing to experience turquoise kisses of the sea on Plat.
