Bošana is a settlement on the island Pag. Pag is the most significant island in archipelago of Zadar, due to the bridge connecting it with the mainland. The administrative center of the island is the town named Pag as well. The island Pag is one of the most wanted tourist destinations since the island is famous of its rich historical legacy and extraordinary gastronomy offer. The whole island is almost without a tree; it is stoned landscape covered with low vegetation. Rare plants with abundance of aromatic spices make the perfect conditions for pasture, so cheeses and meat grown on Pag are well known in Croatia and outside the borders. The town Pag is positioned in the bay surrounded by 20 kilometers of pebble beaches. At the end of the bay, there is a pine forest which is quite unusual for Pag`s petrified environment. The name of the forest is Bošana. In the shade of green pines grew an village. The village cannot boast of the long history as the rest of the island, nor tradition. It is pretty new settlement with holiday houses, apartments and rooms designed to pleasure ones at their vacations, mostly for rent. In Bošana lives only about 25 people and they are all occupied with tourism. A place is proud of beautiful long beach, named Bošana, of course. It an excellent choice for families with children and those of us eager of peaceful and unstressed summer relaxation. When tired of rest, one can find rush in nearby town Pag where crowded streets in any hour offer amusement and excitement for all ages and tastes.
